The history of the Crystal Vision children's eye clinics began on 4 June 2001, with the opening of the first clinic, located in Moscow on Lomonosovsky Prospekt.

That day became Crystal Vision's founding anniversary.

Crystal Vision was founded by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor and paediatric ophthalmic surgeon Igor Erikovich Aznauryan

It was at that time that the core principles of the Crystal Vision children's eye clinics were established — principles that remain fundamental to our work today:
icon1 Proprietary treatment standards based on international protocols
icon1 Synergy of scientific, clinical and educational activities, following the model of American and European "university" clinics
icon1 Financial sustainability as a consequence of delivering high-quality medical care to patients — not the other way around
icon1 High-quality patient service

Crystal Vision children's eye clinic specialists became the sole Russian representatives in:

The European Paediatric Ophthalmological Society (EPOS)
diachildg
The American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS)
diag
The European Strabismological Association (ESA)
eye

and continue to introduce into clinical practice the most advanced paediatric eye treatment technologies used worldwide.
