Hardware-based vision treatment

The child's body has an enormous capacity for recovery.
This principle underlies the effective and safe method of hardware-based vision treatment. Hardware-based treatment is a comprehensive set of modern non-pharmacological procedures designed to train the visual system. Think of it as a kind of "eye fitness" — helping to improve blood supply, strengthen the eye muscles, and teach the brain to process visual information correctly.
Hardware-based vision treatment

Our clinics operate dedicated treatment rooms for:

  • Orthoptics
  • Pleoptics
  • Dipleoptics
  • Physiotherapy, including the MAKDEL-9 device

Severe stages of amblyopia are treated using the high-technology system for the examination and restoration of visual function — the Binocular Optometric Complex (BOK).

Our treatment approach, when initiated in a timely manner, enables 95% of children to achieve freedom from glasses and attain high visual acuity.

Why is hardware-based treatment so effective for children?

  • Safe and painless. All procedures are conducted in a play-based format.
  • Individualised approach. The effectiveness of hardware-based vision treatment depends greatly on the methodology developed by the doctor. The course of treatment is designed by the ophthalmologist strictly on the basis of comprehensive diagnostic results. We select only the techniques your child specifically needs.
  • Engaging process. Modern equipment turns treatment into an interesting game. The child follows pictures, light signals and dynamic objects with enjoyment.
  • Prevention and treatment. The method not only halts the progression of conditions but also serves as excellent preventive care for school-age children's vision.
Hardware treatment devices

When is hardware-based treatment recommended?

  • Accommodative spasm or "false myopia" — one of the most common problems in school-age children. The devices help relieve tension and restore focus.
  • Myopia — slows progression and improves visual acuity.
  • Hyperopia and astigmatism — trains the eye, helping it to compensate for the impairment.
  • Strabismus — restores the connection between the eyes and brain, teaching the eyes to work together.
  • Amblyopia or "lazy eye" — activates the "lazy" eye, making it work.
  • Visual fatigue syndrome (under high visual load).
  • Pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.

How does a treatment course work at our clinic?

  • A full examination is carried out using modern equipment to establish an accurate diagnosis.
  • The doctor determines the treatment goals and draws up an individualised course programme.
  • Sessions last approximately 40–60 minutes and involve work on 5–7 different devices. The child may undergo colour therapy, computer training with specialist programmes, or laser or magnetic field stimulation.
  • After completing the course, repeat diagnostics are performed to assess progress. The doctor provides recommendations for maintaining the results.
  • Treatment is available at any of our 10 clinics, whichever is nearest to your home.
