Accommodometry is the examination of the reserve of accommodation.
We talk a lot about the importance of accommodation in the treatment of children with nearsightedness (myopia) because the lack of progression requires that the reserve of accommodation is kept at a high level.
In contrast to the traditional examination of the reserve of accommodation, the examination using an autorefractometer with an accommodometer allows us to identify the accommodation during the diagnostics of children with myopia very accurately and clearly show it, as well as to trace the accommodation dynamics before and after treatment.
