The depth vision is based on the process of merging images from each eye into a single one, which occurs in the higher visual centers of the brain. With the depth vision, the observer is able to evaluate three-dimensional space based on two-dimensional retinal images.
To assess the depth vision, we conduct a special examination using two objects to be compared on a linear plane.
